Winter at Believer's Square

Greetings from all of us at Believer’s Square!

We had a great time at our Winter Sleepover on January 11-12. 24 children attended the sleepover. We watched a movie on the big screen, played games, had dinner, played board games and got to know some new friends! Thanks to Mary B and Hannah T for bringing guests!

Also in January we earned a couple of Movie nights enjoying Veggie Tales movies and snacks and studied the Armor of God and why we need to put it on every day befpre heading off to school and everywhere we need to go!

In February we made Valentines for some special people we know and finally learned who our Secret Prayer Pals were for 2007. What great fun that was and how wonderful to know that our church family members were praying for us all year!

By the time you read this, we hope to have the 2008 Secret Prayer Pals all assigned. If you would like to participate, check with a Believers Square leader- Verna B, Wendy G, Sheila H, Jan Rose, Ellen W or Sue Z to see if there are children still available.

Many thanks to all who participated in 2007- it was very important to our kids and we hope important to you as well.

Our Citizen Of the Month for March is…..

Serena H

Serena is six years old and has 2 brothers –Thomas and Owen, and one sister Abby. She is the daughter of Pat and Sheila H.

Serena is in Mrs. Strong’s Sunday School class and she says that is her favorite thing about going to church- being in Sunday School!
Serena was part of the quartet that sang in our “Candy Cane Lane musical” at Christmas and attends Believer’s Square regularly. She is always polite, friendly and interested in whatever is happening at Believer’s Square.

Some interesting facts about Serena include:
She would love to learn how to juggle- have you ever tried to juggle? It isn’t easy but I know Serena will give it her best!

She doesn’t like being in the dark- although when we played Sardines at the sleepover, she was extremely brave and decided to play and did a GREAT job!

When she gets older, she would like to be an artist. (she IS very creative, so I think that is a great choice!)

The hardest thing she has ever done is Ballet class. That is a part of Serena’s life I haven’t had the privilege of sharing, but I am guessing she is a hard worker and a very dainty ballerina.

Besides taking ballet lessons with her sister Abby, Serena plays soccer in the summer and enjoys playing with her dog, Tula and cat, Asanman.

She attends Mrs Wellers Class at Barker Central School. Her favorite subject is Math and she also enjoys science class.

We all enjoy Serena’s sweet gentle spirit and smiles. She is another reason Believer’s Square is a wonderful way to spend your Sunday evening!

Believer’s Square Kids want to remind you to:

Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Put it on every day as you get dressed for the day ahead!

Encourage one another! Our Believers Square Kids are very patient, kind and caring toward one another- they set a great example for the rest of us!

Bring in your empty ink jet cartridges and place tem in the box in the LC or on Pastor Matt’s desk, we are almost ready to send in another shipment!!!

Have a great month and see you at church!
